Theatre Camp for Kool Kids...
At the Huron Country Playhouse Theatre Camp 2004 fun and excitement take centre stage for children between the ages of six and sixteen who will be introduced to the basics of the professional theatre industry - both on-stage and behind the curtains. During each one-week session students will participate in singing, drama games, improvisation, script writing, stagecrafts and much more! Participants will also have the opportunity to experience a live professional production at one of Ontario's best-known theatres. The Huron Country Playhouse Theatre Camp has been in operation for sixteen years with participants from as far as London, Toronto, and even the United States. Eight sessions are offered over the course of the summer for different age categories: July 5-9 (ages 8-10), July 12-16 (ages 11-12), July 19-23 (ages 13-15), July 26-30 (ages 9-11), Aug. 2-6 (ages 8-10), Aug. 9-13 (ages 10-12), Aug. 16-20 (ages 6-7), Aug. 25-27 (ages 12-16). The program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the cost is $150.00 for the entire week.

Edison Fest in Elgin County

Wings of Paradise adds fun and educational exhibits to the facility for the summer 2004
Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory will be the first home-away-from-home for the Royal Ontario Museum's traveling "Hands on Nature" Exhibit. It will be on display at Wings of Paradise near Cambridge from July 3rd to August 29th, 2004. This exhibit will introduce visitors to the importance of the diversity of life on the planet. Learn how to preserve and restore native habitats and species and gain better understanding of the importance of conservation. Also coming to Wings of Paradise is "Nature to Go! Monarchs" from July 31 to October 31, 2004. This suitcase sized exhibit is filled to the brim with interactive activities for kids. The three interactive computer games allow children to virtually tag a monarch, test their "butterfly" survival skills or watch a chrysalis transform into a butterfly. It's time to play at Wings of Paradise!
