The Hummingbird Centre is Canada’s largest performing arts venue and hosts a variety of entertainment events including children’s shows and musical concerts. The Centre, built in 1960 was formerly known as the O’Keefe Centre (for Carling O’Keefe Breweries). The centre has been used by the National Ballet of Canada and the Canadian Opera Company. In 1996 the name of the centre was changed to the Hummmingbird Centre.
