| Without exception, Dentonia Golf Course is one of Ontario’s finest and most challenging par 3 courses. The golf course was named after Susan Marie Denton, who married Walter Massey (known for his farm implement company which would eventually become Massey-Ferguson) in 1888. In 1889 Walter Massey bought 100 hectares of land just outside the city limits and named it Dentonia Park after his new bride. In 1926 Walter Massey;’s widow donated some of the acreage to the city of Toronto on the condition that it remain known as Dentonia Park. Dentonia Park Golf Course opened as a public course in 1967.
