The Canadian National Exhibition or CNE is the oldest annual fair in the world. It is Canada's largest fair and the fifth largest fair in the world. 1878 was the first year Toronto hosted the fair. Prior to this a different Ontario city was selected every year. The Toronto fair, along the waterfront proved to be such a successful location that it has been held there every year since. The fair is located on apx. 200 acres along Toronto's waterfront .
The Canadian National Exhibition is located near the heart of downtown Toronto on the shore of Lake Ontario. Take the Toronto bound Queen Elizabeth Way or Lakeshore Boulevard and follow the signs to the CNE/Exhibition Place.
