Cayuga is located on the banks of the Grand River between Port Maitland and Caledonia. Cayuga is home to two large racing venues that draw thousands of visitors every year. The community celebrates Cayugafest in July. This family event offers live entertainment, a parade, childrens activities and other assorted events.
While in Cayuga be sure to see Ruthven Park, a 19 th century Greek Revival Mansion that overlooks the Grand River. Here, visitors have the opportunity to see what life was like for the five generations of the Thompson family who lived there from 1845 to 1993. Today it is a National Historic Site. Tours of the mansion are available as well as a 1,500 acre park with nature trails and picnic areas.
