An incredibly versatile city Toronto features some of the most unique attractions in the world. With record setting landmarks like the CN Tower (tallest building in the world at 553.33 m), and Yonge Street (widely regarded as the world’s longest street at 1,896 km), Toronto is built for tourism.

Toronto’s diversity lies with the many inhabitants who have helped to shape the city. The first large wave of immigrants came from Ireland during the famine of 1847. At the start of the new century Toronto saw the population explode with a surge of new immigrants of Italian, Eastern European and Jewish descent. Towards the end of the twentieth century Toronto saw a new wave of Chinese immigration, pushing the percentage of foreign born residents to more then 40%. Although the British influence is still evident in Toronto today it is this diverse blending of cultures that make Toronto such a desirable place to visit.
