Campbellville is a historic antique and crafts village and is less then an hours drive from Toronto and 30 minutes to the airport. The Campbellville Post Office was established in 1851. On the 8th of January 1851 John Campbell was appointed the first Postmaster of Campbellville.The area has retained much of its old world charm and today boasts an abundance of hiking trails and is an excellent bird watching destination. Nearby is Crawford Lake Indian Village and Mountsberg Wildlife Centre. The 1,166 acre conservation area has an interpretive centre and many trails for hiking and mountain biking. Weekends and holidays the Douglas G. Cockburn Birds of Prey Centre offers live bird presentations and Maple syrup presentations are held in March and April.
