Erin Ontario is primarily a farming community in Wellington County, apx 80 kms northwest of Toronto, Ontario. It is still considered a bedroom community as most of the residents work in the nearby cities of Brampton, Mississauga and Guelph.
Erin is proud of it’s new industrial park which is attracting many new businesses due to accessible transportation, a cheaper tax rate and it’s proximity within the “Technology Triangle”, a group of high tech cities including Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge.
The town of Erin is committed to a community working together. The town’s community centre – Centre 2000 combines a high school, daycare, medical offices, a large double gym and a 300 seat theatre. Stompin Tom Connors, a famous Canadian folk singer resides in Erin, Ontario.
