Chippawa Ontario is a village located within the City of Niagara Falls. It is located along the banks of the Chippawa Creek, a tributary to the Niagara River.
The village was founded in 1850 and named after the Chippewa Indian band. Laura Secord lived the remainder of her life here and died at the age of 93. James Cameron, writer-director of such films as Titanic and The Terminator, grew up in Chippawa.
