Ballantyne On The Park
162 Ballantyne Ave, Stratford, ON, N5A 3A7
Tel:519-273-7083
In 1909 our home was built as a modest, red brick home. It started operating as a guest home in 1968. After our purchase, we started an extensive renovation and addition to update the home and create comfortable spaces, taking advantage of our location. The feel in the house now is one of a casual, comfortable but tasteful environment full of light and surrounded by nature.

Our location is just doors away from the Festival Theatre with our west side bordered by parkland and the north side overlooking the Avon river and Tom Patterson Island. As one of our guests wrote, “As good as the stage door”. All the activities of the Festival theatre – from garden tours, backstage tours, box office and gift shop, as well as performances, are just steps away. The Tom Patterson theatre is a pleasant five minute stroll through the park. The Avon theatre, Studio theatre and downtown dining and shopping are about a fifteen minute walk through a charming older neighbourhood.
The ‘Cultural Cottage’ at 104 Ballantyne Avenue is a luxurious, quiet oasis near everything wonderful in Stratford - the theatre, park, river, restaurants and shops. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 floor apartment located on the upper half of the house. This tranquil retreat is designed for one or two couples spending time in Stratford and at the Festival. This self-catered apartment-style accommodation is available for a minimum two night stay.
Features:
- Comfortable, bright living room with cable TV overlooking the park.
- Gourmet open concept kitchen with gas cook top and all new stainless appliances.
- Dining area with adjacent private porch.
- Comfortable king bedroom with ensuite and separate sunroom.
- Gorgeous master king bedroom and sitting area with private Juliet balcony, ensuite and
laundry.
Sitting on our side porch, watching the swans gliding along the Avon, you will be summoned to the theatre by the trumpet fanfare
